Couple Therapy
Dr. Elizabeth Bird provides couple therapy using Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT). She starts with a comprehensive assessment with you together and as individuals to understand your unique dynamic and histories.
Common concerns include arguments, disconnection, coping with life changes, and sexual intimacy. Dr. Bird conducts therapy in-person and via video telehealth.
Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT) helps partners strengthen their connection by improving communication, deepening emotional understanding, and working through difficult patterns together. It recognizes that every relationship has challenges, and it’s normal to feel stuck at times.
In therapy, we help couples understand the underlying emotions driving conflict and teach skills to respond with greater empathy and flexibility. Whether you’re facing ongoing tension or want to reconnect, IBCT offers a compassionate, research-backed approach to building a more resilient and fulfilling relationship.
Dr. Bird provides affirming care to all couples including those who identify as LGBTQ and who have non-monogamous relationship structures.
