Training and Experience

Welcome! I’m a licensed clinical psychologist. I work with both individuals and couples, and I might be a good fit for you if you’re looking for relief from anxiety, wanting to reclaim your life following trauma, or hoping to reconnect and grow as a couple. I also specialize in sex therapy, and I take pride in being sex-positive and nonjudgmental, creating an environment where clients can safely explore topics that are so often considered taboo. I am in the final stages of completing the AASECT requirements to become a Certified Sex Therapist, and I have been providing sex therapy and conducting research in sexual health throughout my training and career.

My path here has been shaped by talented and gracious mentors and colleagues and a deep love for learning. In graduate school, I trained with leading experts in evidence-based PTSD treatments. My research focused on sexual health and coping following trauma. Clinically, my work fits under the cognitive behavioral therapy umbrella. I have received advanced training in mindfulness-based interventions and Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills and often use exposure therapy in the treatment of anxiety disorders and PTSD.

In the public sector, I continued to train with nationally recognized specialists in trauma recovery and couples’ therapy and received advanced training in mood and anxiety disorders during my postdoctoral fellowship. I also created and lead a sexual health clinic and co-developed a national sexual health program.

Beyond direct clinical care, I have trained and supervised other providers locally and nationally in sex therapy, PTSD treatment, and couples therapy. I am also certified in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), an evidence-based approach that helps partners move from cycles of conflict and disconnection toward greater understanding and closeness.

Within all of my work, I carefully consider the cultural and social contexts that shape each person’s experience. I view every client as a whole, offering science-backed tools for growth and healing while creating a supportive and empowering space. I’ve been described as warm and genuine, and my hope is that those I work with feel understood and safe enough to find the courage to explore what’s most difficult.

Whether you are recovering from trauma, longing for a more fulfilling sex life, or hoping to reconnect as a couple, you don’t have to figure it out alone. With the right support, change is possible.
